Lajee Centre Cultural Tour
In July 2016, 22 young Palestinian refugees from the Lajee Centre in Aida refugee camp, will take part in an Arts and Cultural tour of the UK. Travelling from London to the Orkney Islands, the tour is aimed at exploring complex identities and the relationship between cultures, oppression and art. The refugees will perform dabkeh and showcase their own films and photography. The tour provides a platform for young Palestinian refugees to tell their stories about life and resistance in the camps, in their own words and through their own work.
