2013 University Scholarships
Hoping continues to run it's Lebanon scholarship programme for 15 young Palestinian refugees studying at AUL in Beirut, Lebanon. The scholarships cover the tuition fees for a two year course and are awarded by a local Hoping committee established to ensure that both the academic grades and economic situation of the applicants are taken into account.
Two scholarships have been made to students studying for a Masters degree at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), which is part of the University of London. The scholarship contributes to the tuition fees for the two young refugees from Gaza and the West Bank.
Hoping supports four young Palestinian refugees, two men and two women, studying at universities in the West Bank. The scholarships cover the tuition fees for their entire course.
HOPING is currently supporting three young Palestinian refugees studying at Oxford University. Two are undergraduates from Gaza, studying as part of a Crisis scholarship set up by the JCR in St Edmund Hall and Jesus College, to support a student from a conflict zone to study at Oxford University.
