This year marks 60 years of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency’s (UNRWA) existence. Originally established as a temporary organisation offering emergency assistance to Palestinian refugees, it has now provided education, health care, and social services to several generations of Palestinians. Hoping is contributing to the UNRWA Blue Balloon Mobile project, one of many programmes around the world to commemorate UNRWA at 60. Throughout September, October and November a bus will be travelling around each of UNRWA’s 19 camps across the West Bank organising fun days for the children to participate in.
