In 2009 Hoping awarded 14 scholarships to 7 young men and 7 young women living in Lebanon. This scholarship programme gives these young Palestinians the opportunity to gain a BA degree, which will vastly improve their chances of finding employment. The scheme is advertised widely so as to reach as many young Palestinians as possible and successful applicants are chosen by a local Hoping committee based on their academic grades and financial situation.
